A Council republic, is a republic where the government consists of workers' councils which are directly elected by the population. Common characteristics of council republics are politics centered around councils and other legislative bodies, temporary and instantly revocable delegates, an emphasis on collective leadership, and nonpartisanism.
Today several countries use this system of government, most notably Dezevau, Kirenia, and Lavana.
