Lodainn, officially the Kingdom of Lodainn (Dòrnachai Gaelic: Rìoghachd na Lodainn), is a Kingdom of Ossoria located in the western portion of the Ossorian Archipelago.
Geography
Lodainn occupies the entirety of Low Island (Dòrnachai Gaelic: Eilean Ìosal; Ossorian Gaelic: Oileán Íseal), located in the west of the Ossorian Archipelago, as well as a number of nearby islands. This location means that the kingdom shares a maritime border with the Kingdom of Dòrnach to the east.
History
Demographics
The 2010 census reported the population of Lodainn at 2,204,145, making the kingdom the sixth-most populated in the Realm. The largest city in Lodainn is the city of Fàclann, which is also the capital of the kingdom. The next-largest cities are Cas Chaolas and Dùn Barra.
Economy
The kingdom's economy is primarily driven by the mining and agricultural sectors. Livestock, poultry and dairy products are important agricultural products grown in the kingdom. The waters off the island's western coast have been proven to have modest hydrocarbon reserves, and the island's wetlands have traditionally been mined for peat. The city of Fàclann is the main harbor and transshipping center for the kingdom.
