The Namese Republic, often refered to as "Nam", was a short-lived rebel state in Riamo, located at the south of Astariax. The country is known for the Namese War, which started as a regional effort to stabilize Riamo but lead to brutal jungle combat and the use of ethically questionable methods of warfare against the rebels, which would later surrender.
During its lenght, Nam was an authoritarian regime lead by Juan Venades, who had led the movement as a political party until 1978, when his party obtained no representation in the government, moment when the situation started escalating into protests and riots. It would all soon be heavily repressed by the Riamese Armed Forces and the figureheads of the organization now turned to the dense forests of eastern Riamo as their hiding place.
