AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1974
AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1974 is the seventeenth edition of the AleziRadio Festival of Songs. It was held in Sanne Dialogousse Theatre located in the center of Las Araminhaes, which is the capital of Aramna. This is the first time that Aramna hosted the competition after winning it for the first time Last Year.
The venue of Sanne Dialogousse Theatre can contain 1,700 people at maximum in the main theatre. However, due to the competition's requirement to put tables for officials and the crew, at the time of the competition, the Theatre can only contain 1,250 people at ARFOS Day. There was proposals to let the public go to the venue as long as they paid for a ticket, however, the proposal was shot down due to the probability of the price of the ticket being too high for an average Alezian, especially considering that North Alezia was under severe economic problems since independence.
There was also proposals to broadcast it on Television publicly for the first time, after only experimenting on a region-wide scale since 1960. However, the infrastructure was deemed not suitable enough to be used for AleziRadio Festival of Songs, especially considering that national television broadcasts only apply to the news program called NewsReel, which only go for an hour, compared to ARFOS' allocated time in AleziRadio Program 1 which allows 2 hours and 30 minutes of airtime.
The voting method was also updated by the AleziRadio Festival of Songs Technical Committee to allow for all juries and the public to vote for 10 of their favorite songs instead of only 5. This is in order to prevent songs from earning zero points and to avoid bad reputation that people would earn from earning zero points on the first place.
Mizzi Hawafi returned representing Zafizamarrah after earning 9th place last year.
