Women Hold Half The Sky (Azmaran: Frauen Halden ân Halb âb de Hemel) is an upcoming Azmaran biographical political drama directed by Alana Johnsdohter and based on Champagne and Socialism, a 2017 memoir by Liis Aansgaarsdohter about her experiences as a senior civil servant who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. Starring Karla Ryginsdohter and Maarijana Jorśdohter as former Thingspeakers Niina Hermansdohter and Eleina Helmutsdohter respectively, the film focuses on the two's relationship during their time in politics, focusing specifically on the 2003 Workers' Party leadership election where the two ran against each other.
The film, which had been in development since 2018, will be premiered at the 82nd Montecara Film Festival on the 18th October, 2021, and is expected to be released to Azmaran cinemas on the 29th October.
