The Montserrat War (Russian: Война Монсеррат, tr. Voyna Monserrat), also known in the UK as The War that toppled Mado or The End of the Autarch. The war was a result of Lucian Prime Minister Katakuriko Mado's ambition to claim the Acrean-held Montserrat Isles. The war began with the invasion and occupation of the Montserrat Isles by Lucian forces on the 15 October, 1983. With Acrean Naval forces from the isle of Lisy on exercise near the Sundering Sea, an immediate counterattack was not mounted. The following day, an Acrean naval task force based around the flagship battlecruiser Nevelsk and aircraft carrier Neva was dispatched from the naval port at Andreapol. The task force successfully engaged Lucian naval and air forces before amphibious assaults were mounted. The war ended with Mado's fall from power and replacement by Margarette Thatcher, who immediately called for a ceasefire.
