Arcanstotska, officially the Second Arcanstotskan Republic (Obshchiy-Yazk: Вторая Аканстатский Республика, Obshchiy-Yazk Transliterated: Vtoraya Akanstatskiy Respublika), is a country located in Northern Craviter. Covering an area of 144,150 square kilometers (55,657 sq mi) it lies between the Phoenix Sea to the west and the Auburn Sea to the northeast. It borders Malor-Kanada and Norsia to the north, Mintoria to the south, Alemriche to the southwest, and the Tusacwyan Confederacy to the east. Siloyev is the nation's capital and second largest city. Other major urban areas include Ramelensk, Kariyevgrad, Kropolym, Stavrozniki, Liyev, Sirinsk, Grestin, and Klikhov.

Governance

Arcanstotska is a representative democracy organized as a unitary, semi-presidential republic. As Arcanstotska has been a republic since 1848, as well as one of a few select republics on Craviter, democratic traditions and values are deeply rooted in Arcanstotskan cultural and political identity. The current constitution dates back to 1858 with the Second Republic's transitionary period, transforming into a democracy and abandoning its previous emergency dictatorship under Kariyev. The Constitution of the Second Arcanstotskan Republic created a framework for the nation's government, consisting of legislative, executive, and judicial branches, each with their own powers, responsibilities, and restrictions.

The executive branch of government has two leaders. The President, currently Sidorov Pevlovich, serves as the head of state, elected directly by universal adult-suffrage to serve a maximum of two consecutive five-year terms in office. The Prime Minister, currently Anton Tsvetayev, is the head of government, appointed by the President of the Second Republic to organize and lead the Government of Arcanstotska. The President has the power to circumvent the National Assembly by submitting referendums directly to the public; the President also appoints judges and civil servants, negotiates and ratifies treaties and agreements with foreign nations, and serves as Commander-in-Chief of the military. The Prime Minister determines public policy and oversees the civil service, with an emphasis on domestic affairs.

The legislature is a unicameral body known as the National Assembly of the Second Republic (Национальное собрание Второй республики, Natsional'noye Sobraniye Vtoroy Respubliki) which directly represents the Arcanstotskan people.

Arcanstotska's military, the Arcanstotskan Armed Forces, is comprised of three primary branches; the Army (with special forces SSO), the Navy, and the Air Force. There are also two independent arms of service; the National Guard and the Military Police. The total number of service members across the Armed Forces in 2019 totaled 1.08 million across all service branches (??? active duty, ??? in reserve). In absolute terms, Arcanstotska's military expenditure is equal to WIP billion IBU, roughly WIP% of the nation's GDP and WIP in the world. In times of peace, the Armed Forces fall under the authority of the Minister of Defense, however, in times of war, the Armed Forces instead fall under the command of the Prime Minister.

The Arcanstotskan Armed Forces is a completely voluntary force in peacetime, though conscription may occur in times of war.
