Lawgiver was a Moddra-class battlecruiser fielded by the Navy of the Syaran Republic from 1929-1935. Like the other ships in her class she was sometimes labeled as a battleship due to her armaments', though the Republic of Syara considered the class solely as battlecruisers.

The Lawgiver saw extensive service as a commerce raider during the Sundering Sea Campaign and in the Nuadan Ocean, sinking 13 Common Axis aligned ships before being recalled to the Western Theater to take part in Operation Scylla. During the Battle of the Sabri Sea she fought as part of Kappa Cluster against the Cacertian South Fleet. At around 08:15 she was struck by three shells amidship that destroyed her bridge and superstructure and created a massive fire that engulfed the deck. She suffered several internal explosions, likely caused by the fire, that resulted in her sinking nearly two hours later. 1,031 of Lawgiver's crew survived, and was the only ship from Kappa Cluster to be lost during the battle.
