The Cyllarus was a heavy tank produced by the Republic of Syara. It saw service with the Inner Sphere during the Siduri War.
By late 19365 the shortcomings of Syaran tank designs had become clear, leading the Army of the Syaran Republic to request a new tank design that was better armored and armed than its current stock of armored vehicles. The designed had to be both capable of penetrating the armor of Common Axis tanks while also being capable of resisting Common Axis anti-tank weapons. The need for the tank led to a rushed production cycle that, while meeting many of the demands set forth by the Army, faced several shortcomings. Much of the inspiration for the Cyllarus came from the Thaumas heavy tank, including its suspension and track design that was being rendered out of date with more modern tank designs. The tank also suffered from slow speeds and mechanical issues that were difficult to solve in combat. The Cyllarus first entered into service in Fall 1936 on the Quenminese Front, where it subsequently suffered heavy losses in the Battle of Tân Xuyên and Operation Kunai Grass. After the Shirvani Dominion withdrew from the war the remaining Cyllaruses were took part in the Liberation of Ruvelka. The Cyllarus remained the test bed for Syaran post-war tank designs during the Broken Years, but was ultimately scrapped in favor of the Myrmeke Main Battle Tank design.
