Huang Shao (Mouse-Bear: 黃邵) was a military general, warlord, and later politician who lived during the last century of the Era of the Celestial Empire and was one of the primary warlords that led the Auspicious Mouse Rebellion, the Yellow Mouse-Bear Revolt and later the Twelve Species Revolution. Huang would later become the first King of the Mice in the Auspicious Mouse Kingdom in the beginning of the Era of the Great Peace. Huang heavily influenced the Mouse-Bear religion into Taiping, the worship of the Dao through which Spiritual Energy flows from as opposed to direct worship of The Zodiac. During his time as a general through the three revolutions, his philosophy of Taiping heavily influenced his tactics and would often incorporate the use of Spirit Energy in battles. Huang would work with He Yi, Gong Du, Pei Yuan and He Man to work on his philosophy of Taiping, which would later beget the philosophy that became prevalent in the Kingdom. The Huang tribe, the largest tribal identity in the Auspicious Mouse Kingdom are the descendants of Huang Shao.

In his earlier years before he was instated as a general, Huang was a criminal in what was the State of Xiongshu under the Celestial Empire.
