AleziRadio Festival of Songs 1998 is the fourty-first edition of the annual AleziRadio Festival of Songs. The competition was held as usual in 16th of May 1998 by the authorities of Radio Tel Hadiv-Yezateinu. This is the fourth time that Tel Hadiv hosted the competition after previously hosting in 1961, 1977, and 1983 after the victory of Lalo Interdimensional with the song "עקבים גבוהים"

The competition was held in Yezateinu, which was, and still is, the second biggest city in the region of Tel-Hadiv and was also known to be it's twin due to similiar positions where the two cities are located next to each other around the Ameshmai Bay, similiar economic power, similiar size, and similiar population count (in 1998, Tel Hadiv has 772,873 ; and Yezateinu has 772,381.) However, while Tel Hadiv is the capital, Yezateinu is the maritime center for the region of Tel Hadiv, known for its' seafood and jewelry industry.

The festival was held in the Nekeshvet-Biscotti Hall, which is 50 kilometers away from the Tel Hadiv Nadeshayan International Airport (which was Tel Hadiv's International Airport before being demolished in 2005 where it got moved to Tel Hadiv Aleshi'ar International Airport). The hall has previously hosted the 1983 festival under the name of Biscotti Hall. "Nekeshvet" was added after the Nekeshvet Pharmaceuticals Company bought 50% of the building's ownership. The hall remains as Yezateinu's biggest hall, with capacity of 6,724 people (previously it has a capacity of 1,736 people when it hosted the 1983 Festival).

This is the last edition of the AleziRadio Festival of Songs to be sponsored by Coca-Cola as the contract between the international company and the Alezian government where they're required to sponsor the event from 1993 to 1998 as 20% of the contract payment in order to operate in North Alezia. A few days after the festival was over, it was announced that the event would be sponsored by either the national government or State-Owned Enterprised from 1999 onwards unless situations requires change.

This is also the last edition of the AleziRadio Festival of Songs to be independently directed by AleziRadio. This year saw changes to its' standards and hirearchy which means that the newly created Alezian Broadcasting Authority got to direct AleziRadio as a subsidiary of ABA which automatically assumes control of their programmes, including AleziRadio Festival of Songs.
