In Namorese political discourse, the Blue Belt is a region of Namor where the left-wing Popular Front (PF) enjoys strong support, whereas the Yellow Belt is a region where the right-wing New Democratic Party (NDP) enjoys strong support.

The term "Yellow Belt" appeared during the NMR 2368 election, when the New Democrats first won the southern and eastern Namorese seaboard. The term "Blue Belt" appeared a decade later during the NMR 2378 election, when the Popular Front was founded. However, observations regarding political differences between voters in the two regions have been made as early as the NMR 2330s. Voters in the Yellow Belt are perceived as "liberals" (right-wing) while voters in the Blue Belt are perceived as "conservatives" (left-wing).

Regions that are considered to be neither a traditional NDP nor a PF stronghold are sometimes viewed as being part of the "green belt." The color green is a combination of blue and yellow.
