The National Party is a political party in the Caldan Union. The party was formed when, in 1932 Labour Prime Minister George Ryan's grand coalition fell apart, leading to the withdrawal of Labour from government and the expulsion of Ryan from the party. Ryan insisted on running with the support of the Conservatives, his fellow Labour rebels, and the Social Credit Party, all of whom ran together as the National Coalition. The party is the major centre-right party in the Caldan Union. Their primary rival, the Labour Party, is on their left.

The National Party is currently in government under Prime Minister James Calvert. Its policies include reducing sales tax, reducing business taxes, strengthening child benefits, investing in infrastructure, promoting regional integration, loosening regulation on some long-guns, promoting wildlife conservation, incentivising small business, carbon pricing, a return to space, promotion of volunteering, and strengthening law enforcement.

The National Party's first prime minister was George Ryan, after which they were in and out of government under a variety of Liberal-led coalitions. They achieved power in their own right under Rhodri Jones, immediately succeeded by Amber Trinh. The Nationals were again in power under Sir Malcolm Stuart and now James Calvert.
