Lord Matthew Saunders KM, 7th Viscount Rachdale, was a Vionna-Frankenlischian nobleman and soldier. Exiled with his family during the Red Decade, much of Matthew's youth was spent in Gallandia where his father died in the Gallandian Civil War and he inherited the Rachdale Viscouncy at age 12. Begining his military career at 19 during the War of Restoration, Saunders was a long-serving and distinguished officer in the Imperial Army, serving in five different conflicts. He was still in the service as a Major General when he died in 2019, to be succeeded by his son, Edward.
