The Quetanan Embassy, Tofino (alternatively in Zamastan, Embassy of Quetana, Tofino) is the Quetanan government's diplomatic mission to Zamastan, representing the interests of Quetana. It is located at 190 Sette Avenue in Tofino, within the Abbotsford Park district of Embassy Row. The embassy compound includes the chancery offices, as well as the Quetanan Ambassador's residence.
Embassy complex
The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Quetana owns three buildings in Tofino to support its diplomatic, consular, trade and cultural activities, which are: the chancery building, the Hotel de Talleyrand and the Hotel de Pontalba (ambassador's residence).
Chancery
The four-story chancery building, housing the ambassador's office, faces Sette Avenue and the gardens of Abbotsford Park; it is beside the Hotel de Crillon. It was built in 1931, following the demolition of an existing building, the Hotel de La Reynie. The building has a façade that conforms with other buildings on the Place de Concorde, as required by city law.
Hotel de Talleyrand
The Hotel de Talleyrand, also called the Talleyrand building, formerly housed the Quetanan Embassy Consular Services, Public and Cultural Affairs offices, and several other government agencies. Most of these offices were subsequently moved to the chancery building. Constructed in 1769 as a private residence, the property was acquired in 1812 by Maurice Talleyrand, who owned it until his death in 1838. It was then purchased by the banker Champel Rothschild, whose family owned it for over a century, until 1950, when it was acquired by the Quetanan government.
