Huntsville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) that serves as the county seat of Hunt County, West Monroe, Ibica. The population was 3,923 at the time of the 2020 census. Huntsville is the only Census Bureau–recognized community in Hunt County.
Huntsville is located between Eustace Valley State Park and Menger Canyon State Park, and serves a hub for visitors to both parks, with hotels and retail aimed at serving those visitors.
Education
Huntsville is served by the Hunt County Consolidated Independent School District, with both of the district's campuses located within Huntsville.
Geography
Huntsville is located on the east bank of the Eustace River, at the junction of SH 3 and SH 4, 20 miles (32 km) north of Rodgers.
