Hunt County is a county in the Ibican state of West Monroe. With a population at 4,509 during the 2020 census, it is one of the least populous counties in Ibica with a permanent population. Its county seat and only community is Huntsville.

Geography

According to the Ibican Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 444 square miles (1,150 km2), of which 10 square miles (26 km2) are covered by water.

Water features form two of the county's boundaries. The Eustice River, popular with kayakers and rafters, forms the western boundary, as well as the Panamor state line. Rodgers Creek is a minor spring fed creek forming the southern boundary.

Almost half of Hunt County is protected land, part of either Eustice Valley State Park or Menger Canyon State Park.

Economy

Hunt County's economy has long been focused on agriculture and timber production. In recent years, ecotourism has seen a boom due to the state parks in the county.
