Angvar (pronounced /ɒŋ'βɒɾ/ or more commonly /ɑŋ'βɑɾ/), also called Eisenheim (/ʌɪsɛnːhʌɪm/) and officially styled the Imperial State of the Crown of Angvar, (Nemedian: Kaisertum der Krone des Eisenheims) is a sovereign state composed of the mainland of the Cimmerian continent, the adjacent subcontinent of Acheron, the archipelago of Alarica in Anselmia, and numerous semi-autonomous overseas dependencies. At 167,989,366 square kilometres (64,861,056 square miles), spanning one-sixth of Earth's inhabitable landmass, Angvar is the second-largest country in the world by area. It is bound by the Borean Sea on the north, the Obrisian Sea to the south, the Sea of Imucha’kk to the east, and the Gulf of Krasnaya to the west. It borders Krasnaya to the west, the Ruthenian State to the south west, Silvania to the south, and Great Seria to the southeast and east, while sharing maritime borders with Utgard in the north west and Obristan to the south. Through its overseas holdings, it borders Ankin, Fúbù, Zhili and Jianqíng, the latter by way of the International Consulate Zones in Seria; Baqet, N’dabu, Kikuvu and Haziri in Mauria; Pregonia and Wingchun in Central Anselmia; and New Tilgard, Markland, and Ghail in Hesperia. In addition to its 269 governorates, 31 overseas dependencies, eleven unincorporated territories and one capital city, there are two protected socii states, the United Seven Principalities of Infernia and the Grand Duchy of Lower Totenheim. The westernmost and easternmost governorates of mainland Angvar are Weißeheldensmark and New Vladivoyna, respectively; whereas the overall northernmost point is Kaiser-Heinrich-Stadt and the southernmost being Los Island in the Australian Ocean. Angvar boasts an estimated population of 1,637,442,189, making it the second-largest country in the world by population behind Great Seria. Its capital and largest city, Mordegard, is approximately 1,020 kilometres inland area, harboring a growing population of 442.5 million. Other major urban areas include Valenborg, which has the country's largest port and serves as a chief commercial and shipwrighting centre; Friedrichshof, Baldzhed, Drestholm and Mortvien.
