Aassillit is the capital of Versenia. With a population of 743,000 people, it is the fifth-largest city in the country after Leades, Millerrath, Iracun, and Gilport. It is a prominent banking hub on the Nortuan continent and the Alliance of Nortuan States, housing the headquarters of the Nortuan Central Bank. The city's metropolitan area has approximately 1.34 million inhabitants. Most of the city's population lives in the Sille Valley, but a large, albeit very sparsely populated area of the city east of the Gil River lies in the West Atian Hill Country and Uplands. Many boroughs west of the Gil lie in the foreland of the Ore Mountains, as well as in the valleys of the rivers rising there and flowing through Aassillit.
