The 2022 Arabin elections will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022. This presidential election year, a new President and Vice President will be elected, all 195 seats in the Arabin House of Representatives and 12 of the 32 seats in the Arabin Senate will be contested. Eight state Governorships will be contested as well as numerous local elections. This will be the first presidential election affected by the redistricting following the 2020 Arabin census.

Federal elections

Presidential election

Lona Freeman announced in late 2020 that she would not seek a second term. This upcoming presidential election will determine who will become the 30th and 34th President and Vice President, respectively.

Senate elections

As of December 23, 2024, 12 of the 32 seats in the Arabin Senate will be up for election. A special election may occur if a vacancy occurs.

House of Representatives elections

All 195 voting seats in the Arabin House of Representatives will be up for election. As of May 2021, several representatives have announced their plans to run again in 2022. 34 representatives have announced they will be retiring.[2]

State elections

Governorship elections

Elections will be held for the governorships of 8 Arabin states. All governors serve four-year terms with no term limits, the last reguarly-scheduled elections for all the seats up for election in 2022 were held in 2018.

Notes

  1. Robert Stephens vacated his senate seat on October 1, 2021 to become the 33rd Vice President of Arabi. A special election will be held to fill the remainder of his term.
