Espin (from Espian Es'pinna, meaning "South Kingdom"; Irish: Easpain) is a principality in southeastern Maltropia. It is the largest principality by area, covering 202,681.37 square kilometres. Espin is the second-most populous principality, home to 22,893,147. Its largest city and administrative seat is Esrium.
It is bordered by Northern Bigfootia to the east, the Angle and Montrose to the west and Argalium and Winter Bay to the north.
Prior to the 1844 Treaty of Taralanos, the Kingdom of Espin was an independent state which had existed, in several incarnations, more or less continuously since the First Kingdoms era. Former Espian territory is now included within Argalium and Montrose as well as Northern Bigfootia.
