The Concordian Armed Forces are the federal armed forces of the Terran Concordium. It consists of the Concordian Army, Navy, Marine Force and the Colonial Defence Force. The armed forces are headed by the Commander in Chief, which is the Chancellor of the Terran Concordium and is currently held by Vincent De Maser. The Commander in Chief is heavily involved with the Concordian Department of Defence (CDoD or CDD) to coordinate and form defence policies.
The IAF was established on December 11, 2146, three months after first contact had been made with an extraterrestrial species. Realising the threat that hostile extraterrestrial species could pose to humanity, the directive to create "humanity's army" was issued, with the nations of Earth pooling resources, manpower and material into it. With approval by the Concordian Concord, the Concordian Armed Forces encompassed all of humanity's armed forces and militaries, all for the goal of defending humanity if needed.
