The 1994 Nishfund coup d'état was a military coup which took place on 16 April 1994 and resulted in the overthrow of Nishfund president Calder James Umarof. Umarof was deposed by military forces loyal to Lascen Rathoth, ending fifteen years of autocratic rule and eventually restoring multi-party democracy. The coup was supported by Scalizagastian forces as part of Operation Lemongrass, which is also the commonly-known name of the coup in Scalizagasti.
