The arzepuna is a symbol that appears in Pelunian literature with many different meanings and names, such as the black arzepuna insignia or the arzepuna on its own.
The symbol, consisting of a capital letter A and its inverted variant referring to the symbolism of "for all" surrounded by a circle, is widely recognized as the symbol of the Arzepun sect and has been established in Bimarian youth culture since the 1870s. According to the interpretation of Arzepun scholars such as Narctami Pursati, this symbol represents Pelunese cultural dominance ("sensa-appruria") and the circle can be read as the letter O, which stands for order or organization, a reference to Galtis Xamuel Sarpsy's definition of the movement in his 1837 book The Dual Reality: (Pelunese: "Realaqui a duasimo"): "as man seeks justice in equality, so society seeks order in arzepuna".
At the end of the 19th century, Arzepun sects, such as one of the oldest, the Trecia sect, began to use the symbol of the Arzepun in orange to "cheddar", thus introducing it to non-arzepun.
