The Legion of the Dawn (Amathian: Ⰾⰵⰳⰹⱆⱀⰵⰰ Ⰸⱁⱃⰹⰾⱁⱃ, tr. Legiunea Zorilor), abbreviated as the L.Z. (Ⰾ.Ⰸ.) is a far-right Amathian nationalist political party. It is the third largest political force in the country in terms of seats in the Senate, and the second largest political party in the Republic of Zirnaria, which is often considered to be their traditional power base. The party has been led since its founding by Tudor Veleanu, an Amathian poet and known nationalist who was famous for his pro-Soravian and anti-Equalist stance before his entrance into politics.

The party predates the existence of the current democratic regime in Amathia, having been founded in West Arciluco in 1978 in order to campaign for the creation of a nationalist regime in the city. Following the reintegration by Amathia, it was shortly outlawed, but it became one of the first political forces to be founded after the fall of Equalism, being officially registed in 1980. It made huge gains during the first democratic legislative elections in the country, but its somewhat extremist views in a variety of fields compared to the historical right-wing parties contributed to the right's defeat in the first presidential elections. The Legion never matched its first results ever again, as it was pushed further to the right of the political spectrum by center-right Sotirian democratic parties, such as the Center Front and the National Peasants' Party. It opposed Amathia's pro-eastern views and its eventual ascension into the Euclean Community, but it toned down its rhetoric after the pro-EC victory in the referendum. Ever since, it has consistently remained of the largest political forces in the country, but this is often considered by experts to be due to a lack of competition in the right far-right of the national spectrum, rather than the popularity of the party and its ideology. The LZ remains the only party in Amathia to have so far never been in a coalition with left-wing parties, giving it an advantage in terms of voters who consider that the more center-right forces are far too eager to compromise.

The Legion describes itself as the party of Amathian nationalism, and claims to be fighting for the independence, sovereignty, and prosperity of all Amathians. It is considered to be a right-wing nationalist and national conservatist force, as Euclosceptic and anti-globalist, but it is also a party deeply marked by factionalism and contradictions. Segments of the party are known for espousing racist ideals, Marolevo- and Etrurophobia, xenophobia, and are considered to have ties with neo-amurgist and neo-functionalist movements. The LZ has been subject to several attempts to get it outlawed in the Constitutional Court, but none have succeeded so far, and the party has maintained itself within the limits of democracy, despite accusations of fanaticism, and harassment of political rivals through the use of sympathetic groups of ultras. The party is also a notable supporter of Amathian irredentism and of the concept of a Greater Amathia.
