The Imperial Intelligence and Security Service (Reichsnachrichten- und Sicherheitsdienst), more commonly referred to as the Abwehr (Defense) is the overall intelligence agency of the Englean Kaiserreich composing of separate agencies within its organization. Major offices under the Abwehr include, but are not limited to, the Amtgruppe Außland and the Imperial Office of Internal Intelligence (OII).

Unlike the Reichspolizei, the Abwehr is not obligated by Imperial Law but rather a set of "protocols and guidelines" that are determined by the Emperor, the Reichsrat, and Ministry of Security and Intelligence.

Since its inception as a successor to Abteilung XIIA in 1929, the Abwehr has been tasked with the overall responsibility of intelligence and counterintelligence operations. Since the 1940s, the organisation has gained the responsibility in counter terrorism, anti-partisan operations, extraction of wanted individuals, and internal intelligence. It has been alleged that the Abwehr partakes in regime change, assassination, infiltration, and false-flag operations. These alleged activities have been denied by the organisation.
