Crazy About You (Weranic: Verrückt nach dir) is a Weranic musical comedy-drama television series that premiered on 10 February 2020 on the Weranic-language streaming service WeShow. Created by couple Diana Baumer and Alfred Krauß, the series stars Baumer as Anna Schuttmann, a recent university graduate who impulsively follows her ex-boyfriend Mark Wien (Krauß) after he moves to the island of Ostry for a work opportunity.
Plot
Cast and characters
- Diana Baumer as Anna Schuttmann, a recent graduate of the University of Westbrücken who follows her ex-boyfriend Mark to Ostry after he is offered a job in maritime law. She later works at a bar called the Hairy Cod in downtown Eriksztadt.
- Alfred Krauß as Mark Wien, a lawyer and Anna's former boyfriend. Flaky and overtly ambitious, it is seen that he despises his new job, and wants to leave Ostry as quick as possible.
- Tóra Gomùłka as Ôda Messer, Anna's roommate and co-worker who, often unintentionally, gets involved with Anna's plans to win back Mark. She has the ambition of become a "writer of island-themed erotic thiller novels."
- Angelika Martz as Emilia Scherein, Mark's co-worker and fellow Weranic expat. She and Mark begin flirting in the office, causing Anna to target Emilia in her schemes.
- Reinhold Mayer as Henrik, the Hairy Cod's proprietor. Anna's and Ôda boss, Henrik has the reputation as "Eriksztadt's most friendly currently alive alcoholic", and has a trend of sleeping around town.
- Gunther Gottlieb as Łùcjan Wosell, a mayor of Eriksztadt. Openly corrupt and uncaring towards his constituents, he takes a liking to Anna in episode 4 and pursues her afterwards.
