The monarchy of Mizuho is at the core of both Mizuho's federal structure and Alexandria-style of parliamentary and constitutional democracy. The current Mizuhan monarch is High Queen Katherine II, who has reigned since26 May 2012. Katherine's eldest daughter, Henrietta, Princess of Wolf, is heir apparent.
The monarch is called Tennō (天皇), which translates to "heavenly sovereign" and is styled as Tennō Heika (天皇陛下; His/Her Majesty).
