Sailor on Tour is a popular daytime television show broadcast weekly on MBC Two. It is designed to increase awareness of the work being performed by institutions such as the Royal Navy, Territorial Defence Force and Regional Social Solidarity Councils.
History
Like many from Aurora, Choi Eun-young decided to forgo enlistment in the Territorial Defence Force by volunteering to serve in the Royal Navy. Eun-young's service ended up going past the typical two year period, as they remained an active member of the Royal Navy for a further five years rising to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant before requesting to be transferred to the reserve.
While taking a break from military service, Choi Eun-young noticed that a number of citizens were unaware of the responsibilities of those within the military and so started a small MalTube channel where she talked about her work in the Royal Navy. Eun-young's channel quickly grew in popularity and she started working more formally with the Royal Navy.
In 2020 Eun-youngs channel was selected to be broadcast on MBC Two where it has risen to become a popular daytime television show.
