The Battle of Saxondale was an early engagement of the Imperial Civil War and the first major battle following the inital uprisings. It was the last engagement of the rebel's Saxondale Offensive and ended in defeat for the heavily outnumbered Leftists commanded by Davey Muircanon. The Imperial defence, commanded by Brigadier General Archie Luckmann, acting commander of the Saxondale Division, held through an eight day assault but was nonetheless forced to withdraw from the city due to lack of supplies.
