The 2014 Seketese General Election was held on 31 March 2014 to elect members of the Commons Council, the lower house of the Hérvynsken. The President of Seketan, Fjedor Alesk formally dissolved the Commons Council on February 15 2017 at the request of Prime Minister Tomas Serdoa as the parliamentary term had expired.

The election saw Prime Minister Serdoa lose re-election to a resurgent Socialists lead by former caucus co-chair Eris Kellisyen. Serdoa's governing National Conservatives lost over half their caucus as they were swept out of Gjenor, Nelderjen, and Fjeska. All parties except for the National Conservatives gained seats. The Liberal Democrats made only nominal gains, as their leader Angela Heiþens lost re-election. The Labour nearly doubled their caucus with with Lilli Maisolson rebranding of the party making them gains amoungst Seketan's national minorities. In Wilskland, the Wilsk Nationalists had their best preformance, winning the most votes in the Indenepent state and more then tripling their seats. The previously minor Greens also gained their first seat, with party leader Simon Laondo winning a Gjenor list seat.

Electoral system

Since 2004, Seketan has used a mixed voting system to elect members to the Commons Council. 193 of seats are elected from single-member districts using First-past-the-post voting (district seats), and 100 seats are elected from at-large provincial constituencies using close Party-list proportional representation (provincial seats). Unlike other mixed systems like in South Korea or Ukraine, voters cast a single vote for their district seat, with their chosen candidates party affiliation being counted for the provincial seat. Both district and provincial seats are allocated to the provinces by population as such below.
