Kaspian is major language spoken in Boratstans, closely related to the Aral'sk language. Together, they are known as the "Lake Languages," named after the Kaspian Sea and Aral'sk Sea. Kaspian has 9.5 million native speakers in the Kaspian Republic and at least 500,000 native speakers outside of the republic. The language shares its vowels, most letters, and their pronunciations with Aral'sk.

Kaspian and Aral'sk are also known for the use of letters with double dots (ä, ë, ï, ö, ÿ), which are followed by "y" sound (J in Kaspian pronunciation). Additionally, Kaspian has a complex use of the apostrophe (known as Čážka in Kaspian) in many words. It is mainly used after letters with double dots followed by vowel or in words that are a combination of two words.

Alphabet

Kaspian has 25 letters, and when including letters with Čürky (e.g., á), Žuháčky (e.g., č), and other additional letters, it has 45 letters, each with a capital and non-capital version. It also has some dialects which sometimes change one letter in words.
