Vargmust is a brand of Blostlandic carbonated beverage that was invented in 1908 by Rasmus Bjorkman as a patent medicine for a number of aliments, originally advertised as a being brewed with fermented wolf liver Vargmust has gone under a number of alterations since 1921 and has been brewed purely as a herbal root beer ever since, with the Vargmust Brewing Company forgoing all claims on the medical benefits of Vargmust in 1962.

Since 1919 the beverage has been considered the national soda of Blostland though there is no official recognition by the government, Vargmust has lost much of its popularity since its peak in the 70s however it is still widely drink both inside and outside of Blostland. While now only a part of the Vargmust Brewing Company's line of products the beverage is still a major part of the company is not expected to be discontinued or altered.

History

Rasmus Bjorkman was a traveling salesman and well known snake oil dealer who after many failed ventures in his youth would start his own medical practice illegally with a drug store in Raudrena in 1895 called, "Bjorkman's Drugs and Herbs", though bringing Bjorkman clean money he would not be pleased with the lacking profits and after some time he would try a number of a ploys to bring more business to his store. After trying things like spirit sessions, homemade morphine, and counterfeit rare coinage Bjorkman would come across a soda maker on the docks and would decide on the spot to make his own soda to be served in his store, of course
