Vismarics

The Vismaric peoples (also called Deutsers, Germanic or healian in older literature) are an ethno-linguistic group of Southern Veterran origin, identified by their use of the Vismaric languages. Named after the Vismar region, which was the birthplace of the Vismaric cultures, which is named after the Vismar Sea.

The Vismarics have their origin around the modern-day border between the United South German States and Hellona, where they spread around southern veterra. The culture spread as Vismarics were traditionally traders and/or raiders as they lived near the sea. This access to the oceans made their culture spread around Ullar. Their trading origin made them a romanticized image of the strong sailor, honest but could be deceptive.

Modern Vismaric peoples include the South Germans, Hellonians, Eburonese, Ellashians, Nambalonians,Svallanders, Menakupans and Dutch Polynese.

Classification

The term Vismaric is a largely linguistic term, but is also culturally important, as all Vismaric nations share a cultural heritage. The Vismaric tribes largely grew independently from each other, but still retained contact. Known interactions between the Hellians and Sugermen (Modern-South Germans) were with largely trade or religious undetones. In that time Hellian jachosbsen divided the Vismarics into six tribes: Hellian, Sugermen, Nambalonians, Nelsonese, Norden and the Svamenakupans.

This classification has been used for a long time, until changed into the modern linguistic and cultural grouping, instead of purely geographical. Modern classifications are:

South Vismaric (also called Proto-Vismaric)

• Svallandians (partially, mixed with the Novo tribes, although Vismarics have been present since the 1st century)

• Nalish or Nelsonburgers
