The Liao-class aircraft carrier is a class of aircraft carriers operated by the Yuaneze navy. The Liao-class ships use a ski-jump to launch high-performance conventional aircraft in a STOBAR configuration. The design represented a major advance in Yuaneze fleet aviation over the Sukarni=o-class carriers, which could only launch VSTOL aircraft. There are four Liao-class ships in the class; Yunshang, Qigang, Luoyang, and Shanyan. The ships each have a complement of 1,500, and can carry upwards of 50 aircraft.
