The Posadist Revolutionary Union is the ruling party of Posadastan. It was founded in 1962 as a caucus within the then-ruling Revolutionary Worker's Party, but the caucus was expelled in 1967 forcing them to create their own party, which they named after the group of anonymous writers calling themselves "J. Posadas," who discussed many fringe ideas, but later went on to rule the country from 1975 to the present day.
