Jack Leighton
Jack Leighton Sr. was Born on the 19th June 1962. Leighton grew up in a working class family in Une Grad. Leighton attended Une Grad State University with a scholarship, he studied political science and philosophy. Leighton founded the Green Party in 1984 when he was 22 years old and still in college. Leighton ran for CA in Une Grad in 1986 immediately after he graduated. Leighton narrowly beat incumbent Liberal Jeremy Fork, and sat on the assembly for two full five year terms. In 1997 Leighton succsesfully ran for MHP representing Western Attacote. Leighton sat in the house for eight years as the only green party MHP, before Lily Anderson was elected to represent NidRif in 2005. Leighton was appointed to his first government position by Prime Minister Malcolm Cavanah in 2021 as deputy Prime Minister and minister for foreign affairs.
