Bank of Samistopol Park is a baseball stadium located in Downtown Velkarichka. It has been the ballpark of Arucian Baseball League's Velkarichka Dynamo since 2000, when the team left Dynamo Stadium.

History

Naming rights

In February 1999, Bank of Samistopol agreed to pay Z36 million over 20 years for the naming rights for the new ballpark. In 2009, Samistopol extended its naming rights agreement with the Dynamo through 2040.

Features

Scoreboards

Bank of Samistopol Park features a manual HD video display, a color LED out-of-town scoreboard, and LED ribbon boards along the terraces. The main scoreboard, which replaced the original monochrome scoreboard and separate video screen above the center field bleachers before the 2013 season. The board can be used either all at once, such as for live action or video replays, or split into sections for displaying information such as statistics and advertisements

Dynamo Hall of Fame

Co-located with the Baseball Museum of Vinalia, the Dybamo Hall of Fame features bronze plaques of the ten inducted members: Mykhajlo Ruban (1984), Rémi Bescond (1998), Broadcaster Vitalij Doroshenko (2003), Artur Moraes (2007), Rohan Simon (2009), Lester Taylor (2012), Anderson Collins (2013), Renato Pinho (2014), Yehor Vojtovych (2016), and Évrard Philippon (2022). The plaques describe their contributions to the franchise, as well as murals and television screens showing highlights of their careers with the Dynamo.

Dimensions

In contrast to Dynamo Stadium, which had long been considered one of the most hitter-friendly parks in the ABL, the Park is considered to be extremely friendly to pitchers. Except for dead center field, the outfield dimensions were more expansive than those at Dynamo Stadium. This led to complaints from players and fans alike.

The park has undergone several changes to its dimensions throughout the years, changing it from pitcher to batter friendly throughout the years. In 2009 the left-center wall was lowered and brought further inside. In 2018 these changes were reversed. The park has seen notorious changes in its dimension throughout the league, leading to complaints from teams and fans alike.

Transportation

Public transportation for the park is available via the Velkarichka Metro, at the Park Station, served by the Green Line. Private and public buses run regularly from the park to Bus Union station some 3 blocks south of the stadium.
