North East Cartel
The North-East Cartel also known as the Border Hoppers or just Hoppers is an international drug trafficking, money laundering, and organized crime syndicate. It was established in the 40s, it has its roots in multiple self-defense organizations and cliques local to the Este Pais, especially from the Kiridan mountains. Despite being older than most of its concurrents, the NE Cartel has been late to modernize but managed to take control of all traffics and smuggling at the Nameria-Karazawi border.
The NE Cartel is currently at war with the Families Pact and is the leader of its own alliance : the Mountains Nations. Other members of this alliance are generally ennemies of the Rivarra Family or traitors to the “Pact”, such as the Hiussapi United Nations or the Kiridan Federation. The Mountains Nations operate in Este Pais, and contest the Hiussapi and parts of Chichimecta to the Rivarra Family.

The cartel is present in five Karazawi Suiyuu : Este Pais, Hiussapirhu, Wichutzo, Riverre, and Cordia, with its most important centers in Este Pais. the cartel is primarily involved in the smuggling and distribution of cocaine, metamphetamine, ketamine, cannabis, and heroin into Nameria and Champenia. Even if the Cartel does own some laboratories and produces some drugs, especially of cannabis and heroin, it's main activity is in the logistic of the transport and smuggling of these drugs. Similarily, the cartel operate a vast network of arms trafficking, generally of small arms, explosives, and ammunitions.
While the traffics of drugs and firearms still is the main source of revenues of the cartel, they also operate prostitution rings, illegal gambling dens, and have a special relationship with car thievery and street racing.
Taurus Corridor
Named after the Taurus River that run through the Este Pais Suiyuu, this corridor is the main axis of the North East Cartel. It links the Lazarene coast and Nameria and is closely linked to the M41 motorway.
Chichimeca Corridor
This road runs parallel to the Karazawi northern border, through the vast plains of the Wichutzo Suiyuu. It follows rather closely the M40 motorway. The NEC presence in this area is less important than in the Este Pais, but is still sensible, especially through its network of allied syndicates and gangs : the Mountain Nations. It also keeps working relationships with the local gangs and criminal organizations, like the Stray Dogs Gang.
Contrary to the Taurus, the Chichimeca Corridor is contested between various factions and its for its control that the NEC and the Riverre Family often fight for.
