The BMS Weasel is a four-wheel drive military automobile designed and produced by Belfrasian Military Solutions, a subsidiary owned by the Belfrasian government. The Weasel was designed to replace the aging Spartan Reconnaissance Vehicle in use since the 1970s.

The Weasel is operated in a wide array of variants but is mostly aimed toward the ability to effectively expedite reconnaissance of a hostile area using speed for stealth or to a tactical advantage.

History

Variants

Weasel LOG-2A1
The standard version of the vehicle is equipped for mobility and reconnaissance, having an extendable mast mounted with thermal imaging sensors, a daylight hires camera and a laser range-finder/designator. Combined with the vehicle's onboard GPS and inertial navigation system it allows the vehicle to accurately mark targets and points of interest to help detail a digital battlefield network. The housing for the equipment on the mast can be removed and moved by personnel for setting up a look-out point away from the vehicle. The vehicle is fitted with a single mount for a remote-operated weapon, either a 12.7mm HMG or a 40mm GMG.
Weasel ATGM-2A2
The ATGM variant lacks the reconnaissance package of the normal vehicle, but trades it for a turret capable of holding up to four Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, turning the vehicle into an agile tank hunter for combat environments.
Weasel AAGM-2A1
The Anti-Air Guided Missile (AAGM) variant of the Weasel is outfitted visually the same as the ATMG variant. It has a turret with four missile pods and a radar capable of tracking aerial targets and launching missiles.

Foreign Variants

  •  Eagleland
    • Weasel Intelligentis: Variant of the Weasel AFV exclusively oriented around signals intelligence and reconnaissance. Like the LOG-2A1, upon which it is based, the Intelligentis features an array of thermal, IRNV, as well as FLIR cameras, alongside laser rangefinders. The Intelligentis goes a step further and ditches armaments completely in favour of enhanced mobility as well as room for more advanced electronics systems, which include an electronic warfare suite, a ballistics sensor for detecting incoming fire, a portable radar reconnaissance receiver, as well as motion sensors. It can be further modified to launch UAVs or carry small anti-aircraft or ground penetrating radar.
    • Weasel Protector Domesticus: Variant of the Weasel AFV as fielded by the Protectores Domestici. Does not feature a reconnaissance suite with the exception of an ANPR system. It has an interrogation compartment which can house two persons at once in two separate bulletproof and transparent mini-cells and its electronics can be linked to any police system and/or database. Can be equipped with a remote-operated machine gun post that can accommodate heavy, medium, or light machine guns if necessary.
