Bharat, officially the Republic of Bharat, is a nation in central Asia. It is bordered by Turky to the north, Persha to the southwest, Bo to the southeast, Tydo to the east, and Nosha to the northeast.

Bharat ranks high in civil liberties and HRC-FS human rights being directly caused by a highly religious society. Low restrictions of freedom and low crime lead Bharat to be one of the safest countries in the world. All HRC-FS human rights are protected by law and many checks and balances exist to keep the police, military, and government from exceeding their granted power. Political freedom is ranked high with democratic processes protected by law and minimal corruption possibilities.

Bharat’s economy is fairly weak and mainly trades with Tydo, Nosha, Yashu, Bo, and Turky. Bharat is a founding member of the Himalayan Cooperative aimed at strengthening trade among the Himalayan nations. Agriculture, hydropower, and clothing are the most exported products of Bharat. Bharat is heavily isolated from the rest of the world outside of the Himalayan Plateau. The harsh terrain of Dia heavily restricts transportation and what can be produced.

Etymology

The term Bharat has been used for centuries to refer to the area encompased by the Bharat Uninhabitable Region and the extreme southeast of Eran. The term has been used for millenia with unknown origins.
