Guangnan is an Imperial dominion on western Verdantis, a constitutional representative democracy. Guangnan was formed by the Seas and Mountains Company, and incorporated into the Great Zhi Empire formally in 1864. The territory saw significant imperial investment and immigration between then and the Great War, as oil and rubber were present in the territory. Guangnan was a contested theatre in the Great War, as the forces of Astrium attempted to depose the Michurian overlords and conquer Guangnan. With the surrender of Celesterra, and ramping up of naval forces in the Astrium sea, Michu agreed to grant Guangnan full autonomy, recieving war reperations from Astrium.
