Hillsberg is the capital and largest city of Northern Offeat, and the third-largest city in Saint Offeat with a population of 289,000. Formerly the administrative center of the Northern Offeat province of the Arenoran Isles, Hillsberg was a major port. It played an important role in the Industrial Revolution in northeast Nortua. By the time it was granted city status in 1888, it was a major centre of linen production, tobacco-processing and rope-making. Shipbuilding was also a key industry. Industrialisation, and the resulting inward migration, made Hillsberg one of the Arenoran's biggest cities. Following the partition of Offeat after the Troubles in the early 1900s, Hillsberg became the seat of government for Northern Offeat. There was major communal violence in the city during partition. Hillsberg saw further severe violence and numerous bombings during the nearly 90 years following, and parts of the city remain segregated between royalists and federalists. Hillsberg maintained regional administrative status after unionization in 2023. Hillsberg is still a port with commercial and industrial docks, and has a major aerospace industry. It is served by Hillsberg-Blowich International Airport 15 miles (24 kilometres) west of the city.
