The Vismar krona (plural: kronor; also be kronen in plural, sign: ₭; code: VKR) has been the currency of the Vismar Union since 1942. Both the ISO code "VKR" and currency sign "₭" are in common use; the former precedes or follows the value, the latter usually follows it but, especially in the past, it sometimes preceded the value. In English, the currency is sometimes referred to as the Vismarian crown, as krona literally means crown in Ellashian and (later) Hellonian.

One krona is subdivided into 100 Or (plural is Oren). However, no one or coins have ever been made, as the lowest or coin is 5 oren. All sums are rounded to the nearest five cents.

History The introduction of the krona, which replaced the trio, was a result of the dwindling power the trio began to have. Many international banks mistreated the trio and weakened its economical power. On the 1st of April, 1908, the Vismarer krona was officially made the currency used in all countries in the Vismar Union. Trios were still accepted until December 1908, after December the trio won't be accepted anymore and all money must have been traded for the new krona.

The current currency is based on this old version, and old coins could still be used.
