The Commandant of the Royal War College is the (CRWC) is the highest ranking officer and educator at the Royal War College in charge of the Corps of Cadets. It is a four-star general position and reports directly to the Minister of the Army and the Secretary of State for Defense. The commandant is the head of school administration and is responsible for the administration, discipline, and military training of cadets at the College. The commandant is is seen as the example for all cadets to follow and is themselves a War College graduate of impeccable character and bearing who has demonstrated accomplishments both academically and in active military service.
