Commanders

The PMA is led by a brigadier, as of 2016 by Brig. Abdollah Al-Tappe, and a deputy brigadier as a ceremonial second-in-command, as of 2011 by Imam Hasham Babak Torkan, which in fact makes the brigade the only one to have a religious leader in a high-ranking, though ceremonial, position.
