The Catherinese Republic, is a sovereign , federal, parliamentary republic in southeastern Marceaunia Major. Situated on the xxx penisula it borders the Rum Gulf to the east and the Demotean Ocean to the west. Ithome is the countries capital, and its largest metropolitan areas are Clerebourne, Orangeborough Bay, and Acquebourg which contain roughly 1/4th of the countries population over 44 million living within their statistical metropolitan areas.

Many indigenous communities inhabited the area prior to Auressian colonialism, most notably the Cheneauqocie, Osena, and Tucanoxie. With evidence of modern human activity in the region started between 18,000 and 26,000 years ago at the earliest. Several cultures emerged overtime, the earliest organized civilization in the country was the Potapsic Culture emerging around 1350 BCE, which built several proto-cities within the Shannon River Basin. Colonialism began in the mid 16th century, initially small efforts to establish trade ports economic communities, efforts expanded into the 17th century as Rythene emerged as the dominant colonial actor in the region, establishing a system of settler colonialism and a plantation economy concentrated primarily in the Northern Tidewater, Shannon River Basin, and Tallgrass regions. The Cathrinese war of Independence was a conflict fought between Colonial planters in St. Catharine and the Rythene colonial administration.
