Claudius VII was Emperor of Exponent from 1642 until his death in 1667. He reigned over the period in which Aquitayne became a part of the Empire, bringing that nation into the fold in 1653, and was also emperor during the second outbreak of the plague.

Second Hesperidesian Plague
The Second Hesperidesian Plague outbreak began in 1653 and ran until 1657, killing large numbers of people throughout Hesperidesia. The plague had severe economic consequences for Exponent, and curtailed Claudius VII's plans for further expansions in Lorecia.
