'Naeth Aethel' is the fifth largest city in Amador, the capital of the Mor Corena Prefecture, and the chief city of the Aethel-Uraka metropolitan area, the fifth largest in the country. Naeth Aethel is one of the largest economic centers in the nation, trailing only behind Citadel and He'kir. The city is renowned for its natural beauty, with the Glypheral Mountains forming the backdrop of the city.

The city is located at the base of the Glypheral Mountains in the Mor Corena Prefecture in the southern area of the country. It is the largest city in the nation situated in the interior of the country. Naeth Aethel is known for its various ski resorts, serving as a popular national tourist location while also becoming popular as an international tourist destination. Mount Olmphyar, the nation's tallest peak, overlooks the city, offering a stunning backdrop.

Due to its geographic position, Naeth Aethel is also the coldest major city in the nation, with cold airs being trapped in the Ond Valley, where the city is located. The Urlikin River, the second longest in the Imperium, cuts through the center of the city, before travelling east and ultimately emptying out into the ocean.

Naeth Aethel, alongside Uraka, are known for their extensive use of traditional architecture, with both cities being possessing significantly shorter skylines than their peer counterparts. Naeth Aethel especially, goes to great lengths to preserve and maintain its historical buildings, some of which date back as far as 2000 BCE, near the founding of the city. Many of these buildings, clad in golds and other rare metals, collectively give the city the title of "City of Gold," to reflect the shine that many of its buildings produce when hit by sunlight.
