Státní Bezpečnostní Služba

The Státní Bezpečnostní Služba (English: State Security Service), commonly abbreviated as SBS, is the domestic intelligence and security agency of Holynia. Operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Security, the SBS was established in 1998 following the dissolution of the Státní Ředitelství Bezpečnosti, While officially restructured as part of Holynia's transition to democracy, the SBS inherited much of the SŘB’s personnel and organizational framework. The agency remains one of the most powerful entities in Holynia’s government, tasked with counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and the protection of state security.

History

The SBS was formed as part of the sweeping reforms that followed the collapse of the Holyn Socialist States in 1998. With the disbandment of the SŘB, the Ministry of Public Security sought to create a modern agency that would fulfill similar security functions while adhering to the principles of the newly democratic state.
